Brenda Robbins Tosh, age 75, resident of Whiteville, Tennessee, and wife of Joe F. Tosh, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, January 30, 2024, at Jackson General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
Brenda was born February 27, 1948, in Fayette County, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Oscar Robbins and Izora Bishop Robbins. She graduated from Whiteville High School and was married April 16, 1966, to Mr. Joe F. Tosh. She lived in the Whiteville area near Vildo for most of her life.
Brenda was employed by CB&S Bank as a Teller and H.I.S. Pants factory before her retirement in 2013. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of First United Methodist church in Whiteville, Tennessee. Brenda enjoyed traveling and eating out with her family, riding horses, and watching the Rodeo on TV.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 58 years, Joe Tosh; two daughter, Tiffany Jo Tosh of Whiteville and Teresa Tosh Patterson (Travis) of Jackson; two grandchildren, Rachel Patterson of State College, Penn., and Lucas Patterson of Jackson; and one great grandchild, Teddy Patterson of State College, Penn.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Tosh will be held at 1 pm on Friday, February 2, 2024, at the Shackelford Funeral Home chapel in Bolivar with Gary Frye officiating. Interment will follow at Melrose Cemetery in Whiteville.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are: Thomas Robbins, Jerry Tosh, Jeremy Tosh, Lucas Patterson, Jeff Young and Donald Young. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Searles and Mike Robbins.
