Funeral services for Mr. Joe White, age 73 of Lineville, will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Pastor Donald Spradlin officiating. Burial will follow at Clay County Memory Gardens.
Mr. White passed away on January 11, 2024 at his residence. Joe lived in Clay County all of his life, and the last 26 years in Lineville. He retired from the Anniston Army Depot and was Baptist by faith. Mr. White enjoyed watching the news and Westerns, and driving his Camaro. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Mr. White is survived by his daughter, Angie Clark (Dave) of Pell City; his two sons: Mike White (Elizabeth) of Daphne and Andy White (Kristian) of Ashland; four grandchildren: Robby Whited, Caleb White (Emily), Amber White, and Micah White; two great-grandchildren, Shilo Whited and Charlotte White; and one brother, Thomas White (Janice) of Lineville.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Chelsey and Lovie White; and four sisters: Louise Royal, Francis McVey, and two infant.
Active pallbearers will be Luke Gay, Scott Kerley, Frankie White, Tony Young, Caleb White, and Robby Whited.
His visitation will take place on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
