Eugene Lloyd Mairs, age 68 of Fort Payne, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at his home surrounded by his daughters. He fought a courageous battle to Brain Cancer. Eugene was born on July 29, 1955 in Port Jefferson, NY to the late Walter & Beatrice Belous Mairs.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Gene loved being with his family but also loved fishing, boating, woodworking. He was man of many trades.
Graveside services for Gene will be at Sunset on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Walker’s Chapel Cemetery with military honors.
He is survived by his children, Tammy, Tracy and Cassandra; and granddaughters, Stella, Kayleigh, Mia, and Emma.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laurie Mairs; and his parents.
