A graveside service will be held Saturday December 30, at 2:00 P.M. at Williamsport Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Steven Douglas and Jeff Perry officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 19.

 

The family suggests memorials to The Gideons International at Columbia North Camp, P.O. Box 663, Columbia Tennessee 38482, and to the Williamsport Methodist Cemetery: Jim Moore, 3617 Craig Bridge Rd, Williamsport Tennessee 38387. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

 

Marion was born June 11, 1933 to the late Roy Davis and Flossie Campbell Davis. He married Pauline Haywood Moore Davis on February 3, 1991. He was a dispatcher for the TVA for 36 years, he was a staff Sargent for the United States Air Force, he was a member of Gideon International, and he served as an usher for Riverside Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Pauline, his Step-Son Robert Paul Moore, Step-Daughter Mary Elizabeth (Jackie) Jernigan, brother Jackie (Jane) Wayne Davis and many nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Evelyn Dunn, Wanda Henry Grimes, and a brother Charles Davis.
