Mavis Ellen Roden Brown 90 of Boaz she gained her heavenly wings Friday, December 15, 2023 at Diversercare in Boaz.
She was born to Homer Roden and Velma Sauls Roden Fountain of Dekalb Co. on May 29, 1933.
She was a homemaker that loved yard and estates sales, love to garden, to grow and can the food she grew always canning for her family too and would give the canned goods to family and friends. Always mowed and kept up her yard and flower beds. No one could do it like she did or to suite her. She would share her flowers with everyone. Also, she loved to watch her hummingbirds during the summer and always had 50 or more birds at her feeders that hang on her porch each summer.
Mavis is survived by her Daughter; Barbara Roden of Boaz, Sons; Phillip Brown and Rickey Roden (Martha) of Albertville, Grandchildren; Lisa (Lonnie) Argo of Gadsden, Shannon Hopkins of Boaz, Tammy (Robert) Oneal of Arkansas, Rickey Wayne (Kendra) Roden, Dana Galviz, Wendy Kelso, 12 Great Grandchildren, 26 Great-Great Grandchildren, Brothers; Thomas Fountain of Crossville, J.D. Fountain of Pennsylvania, Sisters; Doris Buchanan and Frances Hicks of Crossville, Several Nieces and Nephews.
Her Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2023 at Albertville Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Lathamville Cemetery. Bro. Cody Nugent will be officiating. Visitation will be 12 until 2 before the service on Monday. Pallbearers will be Brody Roden, Colby Roden, Jackson Roden, Wally Maples, Dwayn e Wray, Justin Feemster, Willie Simmons, Honorary Pallbearers will be Blake Parker and Dakota Venable.
