George Allen Walker, age 59 of Boaz passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Marshall Medical Center South.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery following the service. Bro. Mike Goforth, Bro. Kevin Brooks and Bro. Chace Walker will officiate the service. Shannon Burns will provide the music. Pallbearers will be Lukas Walker, Chace Walker, Tyler Williams, Landon Haygood, Josh Wallace, Payne Gray, Bentley Gray and Gary Howard. Honorary pallbearers will be Colt Wallace and Kai Walker. The family will receive friends from 10 until 2 before the service at the church.
He is survived by his wife; Cindy Walker, children; Eli and Juliana Walker, Gracie Mae Walker, Heather and Josh Wallace and Taylor and Colby Parker, grandchildren; Madison (Landon), Anna, Colt, Adelyn and Koen, sisters; Donna Dixon and Allison “Ali” Walker and brother; Phillip Walker. George is also survived by many nieces and nephews and special sister; Lisa Williams (Steve).
He is preceded in death by his wife; Tracey Bush Walker and his parents; Joe and Joyce Walker.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers donations be made to Amazon Hope Mission or The Gideons International.
