Stephen Edward “Steve” Hemphill, age 71, passed away Dec. 13, 2023.
Steve was employed as a Pipefitter and Steamfitter through UA Local 91. Steve was formerly a professional hockey player with the Southeastern All Pro’s Hockey Club. He formerly served as a Baptist minister. He loved animals and was an avid Alabama football fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Gloria Hemphill.
Survivors include his sons, Joey and Brent Hemphill; grandchildren, Evan, Hannah and Marley; sister, Sheila Anderson and husband Clyde; brother, Scott Hemphill; nieces and nephews, Stacey Hughey (Doug); Clint Anderson (Melissa) and Josh, Lauren and Madison Humber; great niece, Harlee Ann Anderson; several other relatives and friends.
Cremation services are being provided. A memorial service will be a later date.
