On February 22, 1950, in Limestone County, AL Donna Faye Moore was born to the late Carrie Lee Harper and Charlie Moore. Sorrowfully, she departed this life on December 2, 2023, at home with her loved ones along her bedside.
Donna Faye graduated from Trinity High School in 1969. At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized as a member of Bright Hope CP Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Aaron Toney. She was employed with the State of Alabama as a Social Worker for 30 years. Donna Faye was a faithful member of Bright Hope CP Church. She loved her church, and she loved serving others. She served on various committees during her Christian journey; however, it was her faithfulness and dedication to being a doorkeeper for the Lord as an usher; she also served as the president of Bright Hope Usher Board.
When she wasn’t serving her church Donna Faye enjoyed fishing, solving puzzles, and word searches! She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Carrie L. Harper and Charlie Moore, and sister, Frances “Sally” Johnson. She leaves to cherish a lifetime of precious memories with three children, Cassandra High (Bobby), Travis Lewis both of Huntsville, Alabama and Willie J. Ervin Jr. (Tiffany) of Madison, Alabama; a supportive and dedicated former spouse, Willie J. Ervin, Sr; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Johnnie (Jimmy Lee) Troupe of Athens, AL; two brothers, John Eddie Harper of Decatur, Alabama and Lloyd (Margret) Harper of Athens, Alabama; special friends Melissa Butler, Shirley Ann Burks, Barbara Crutcher, and Sallie Brown and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many more friends and relatives.
Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Bright Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America (11796 Mooresville Road, Madison, AL 35756) with Pastor Katherine Baker officiating. Interment will be in the Faith Memorial Park. Mrs. Moore will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2023, and 8:30 until 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Royal Funeral Home.
