Charles Edward Polk, Sr.
1933 – 2013
Mr. Polk was a long time member of the Myrtle Grove Baptist Church. He retired from Monsanto after 35 years of service. He served as a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Northwest Florida Area Agency on Aging for 20 years and Board of Deacons at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gertrude Jett Polk.
A funeral service will be held at Shelton Funeral Home on Wednesday, April, 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Edwin Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A committal service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Senator W. D. Childers, Don Page, Dr. Don Colley, O.C. Hood, Paul White, Kevin White, Johnny Standiford, Randy Rigsby, W.R. Pope, Jimmy Britton and all the Deacons of Myrtle Grove Baptist Church.
