Mary Laura Binger – Obituary

Mary Laura Binger passed away peacefully at home having been recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Laura, an RN with MS degrees in physiology and in nursing, began her career as a public health nurse and continued in service to others as a Hospice nurse. She is the co-founder of Friends, Inc., an organization of volunteers who provide support to patients with serious illnesses or disabilities.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dr. Richard Binger of Huntsville, AL; three sons and daughter-in-laws, David and Lynetta Binger of Reston, VA, Charles and Carolyn Binger of Huntsville, and Ben and Christene Binger of Sterling, MA; four grandchildren and two brothers, Fred and George Cromwell.

Visitation will be from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., April 6th at Monte Sano United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Monte Sano United Methodist Church, Friends, Inc., or Hospice Family Care, Huntsville.
