Shannon Renee Romans, 52 of Cypress Inn, TN passed away Monday, October 30, 2023. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Cherokee. Her funeral service will be Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 2:00 at Morrison Funeral Home in Cherokee with Gary Cosby officiating. Burial will follow in Whittens Cross Roads Cemetery in Cypress Inn, TN.
Shannon was a Colbert County native, a graduate of Collinwood High School, and worked alongside her family at Momma Jean’s Restaurant. She loved animals and took in many rescue animals to care for them. She was a big supporter and donor to the animal shelter. She also cared for people and helped receiver donations for the homeless. She enjoyed shopping and was affectionately considered to be a “Shopaholic”.
Shannon was preceded in death by her husband, Justin Lee Burleson; grandparents, Floyd and Lorene Romans and Tilmon Evette Smelser and Pearlie Keller; and two aunts, Shirley Wallace and Sally Franks.
She is survived by her parents, Floyd and Jean Romans; cousins, Celena, Jesus, Kayden, and Joselyn Tovar, Corey Speegle and Jimmy Charuhas.
Pallbearers are Jesus Tovar, Jimmy Linville, Paul Pigg, Kayden Place, Jimmy Charuhas, and Jamie Wright.
