Hazel Magaleen Rupp, 92 of Elkmont, passed away on Sunday, October 29th, 2023, at her residence. Mrs. Rupp was born on June 12th, 1931, in Lincoln County, Tennessee, to John and Ruth Smith Philpot.
Mrs. Rupp is survived by her children Barbara Nye (Lawrence), Jimmy Rupp (Renea), and Lynn Bailey (Ronnie); grandchildren Timothy Nye (Tanya), Christopher Nye, Laura Nye, Whitney Kennedy (Jeff), Jacob Rupp (Jeana), Jared Bailey, and Michael Bailey; great-grandchildren Zoe Nye, Abby Nye, Jackson Rupp, and Carley Kennedy; and great-great-grandchild Nyla Jones.
She is preceded in death by her husband Malcolm Rupp; her parents; and her brothers and sisters.
A graveside service for Mrs. Rupp will be Thursday, November 2nd, 2023, at 2:00pm at Germantown Cemetery, with Clint Coffey officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Timothy Nye, Christopher Nye, Jeff Kennedy, Jacob Rupp, Jared Bailey, and Michael Bailey. Laura Nye will be an honorary pallbearer.
Those who loved Mrs. Rupp knew she was a hard worker. She enjoyed working in her garden and farming. A true helpmeet to her husband, she worked side by side. She was known to be a very good cook and made the best pies. Her family was very important to her, she was a wonderful sister to her siblings, and loved her husband, children, and all her grandbabies. She fought a very hard battle with cancer, but she is Home now with her loved ones gone before her.
