Fletcher Talley McCrary Jr, age 80 of Estill Springs, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at St. Thomas West in Nashville. Fletcher was born on June 2, 1943, in Winchester, Tennessee, to the late Fletcher Talley and Adene (Boyd) McCrary Sr. He was a veteran of the United State Air Force and retired as a self-employed Machinist. Fletcher loved boating, college football, and repairing and restoring old cars. He loved listening to all kinds of music especially Old County and Jazz and Blues. Fletcher will be remembered as a kind, generous person who never met a stranger. He was happiest spending time with family and his friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Yancey McCrary; siblings, Donald McCrary, Annette Endy, Shirly Long and two infant siblings; niece, Michelle Evans; and nephew, James Long. Fletcher is survived by his loving daughter, Shannon (Jeff) Patton; grandchildren, Corey (Katy) Patton and Collin Patton; special granddaughter, Hope Franklin; sister, Daphine (Guy) Thompson; nieces, Tammy Henley, Jennifer (Steve) Robinson and Vicky Smith; and nephews, David McCrary, Michael McCrary and Paul Endy. A celebration of life for Fletcher will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm from the life celebration center at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
