Mr. Robert Anthony Miller, age 75 of Scottsboro, AL. passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice in Albertville, AL.
Robert was born in Allegheny, PA and grew up in New Jersey. Robert loved his county and was a proud Navy veteran. He served the Navy on the USS WASP from 1963-67 in Vietnam. He then continued on in the Navy Reserve from 1967-69.
After leaving the Navy, Robert traveled abroad and throughout the US until settling in Jackson County. Being an avid hunter and outdoors man, he came to love the area and made it his home. He was a very good cook and enjoyed preparing meals for Trudy and Tiffany Clark.
He is survived by his brothers Gary Allen Miller, Beverly Hills, FL and Kenneth Arnold Miller, Columbia, South America.
He was preceded in death by his life partner Trudy Clark and his parents Gene and Bob Miller.
Robert’s body was cremated and will be dispersed according to his final requests.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 2 pm at the Scottsboro Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to share memories and celebrate a life well lived. Robert was not a religious man, but he did believe in God and accepted Jesus as his savior before his passing.
