Mae Jean Uhlman, 90, Woodstock, GA, formerly of Tuscumbia, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023. Visitation will be Saturday, October 14, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. A memorial service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Barrett Long officiating.
Jean was a member of First Baptist Church, Tuscumbia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Henry Uhlman; son, Stephen Thomas Uhlman; and siblings, Louise Kirby (Mountain Home, ID), Leonard Lott (Columbus, GA), D. D. Lot, Jr. (Birmingham, AL), Carl Dester Lott (Birmingham, AL), and Odell Lott (Birmingham, AL). Jean had a brief but loving marriage to the late Lamar Kaiser (Muscle Shoals, AL).
She is survived by her children, James O. Cartee, Jr. (Phil Campbell, AL), Marian Cartee Williams (Town Creek, AL), and Anna Uhlman Oelschlager (Woodstock, GA); siblings, Joyce Richards (Florence, AL), J. D. Lott (Russellville, AL), and Opal Mosely (Edmond, OK); and special family members, Martha Kaiser Wilson and Tommy Wilson.
