James Norman Lancaster, 80, passed away September 25, 2023, at Church Street Manor, in Ecru, MS. James was a truck driver for most of his life. He and his wife Becky drove as a team for many years. He was a member of and attended Carey Springs Baptist Church until his health declined.
Survivors include his lifelong friend, Barbara Norman; special friends, Donald and Debbie Brown; several classmates that he enjoyed talking to; his daughter-in-law, Cindy; grandson, John Paul Lancaster (Destiny); and his great-grandchildren, Silas and Aspen Lancaster.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Elsie Lancaster; mother, Opal Lancaster; wife, Becky Lancaster; sons, Curtis and Paul Lancaster; and his granddaughters, Kristin and Ashley Nicole Lancaster.
Services will be Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 2PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Jeff Blackwelder and Bro. J.J. McVay officiating. Visitation will begin at 10AM and continue to service time. Burial will follow in New Robbs Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Walker, Bro. Pete Gregory, William Holcomb, Ricky Miller, Ronnie Jenkins, and Bram Mask. Honorary Pallbearer will be Owen Martin.
