Laura Neta Hardin, 96, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023, in Counce, TN. Neta was born on October 6, 1926, in Pontotoc County, MS to Errentine Lidell and John Richard Stevens. She loved horseback riding, yard work, animals, and entertaining friends.
Survivors include her husband, Dearl Hardin; granddaughter, Lesley Beavers; stepchildren, Kathy and David Hardin; and her nephews and nieces, Ronnie Stephens, Richard Stephens, Brenda Moody, Celia Belk, and Debra Horton.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wallace Durham; her son, Stephen Durham; her parents; and her nieces and nephew, Wanda Childers, Mary Nell Fooshee, and John Vick Stephens.
Services will be Monday, September 4, 2023, at 1PM at Ecru Methodist Church with Bro. William Montgomery officiating. Visitation will begin at 11AM and continue to service time. Burial will follow in Ecru Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Allen Henson, Ray Weaver, Ronnie Stephens, Trevor Borman, Tom Borman, and Decaleb Briley.
