She was active in her community through various clubs and organizations: The Pilot Club (president), Helen Killer Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary (president). Boy and Girl Scout leader, Sunday School teacher and a member of numerous committees at the United Methodist Church of Sheffield.

She spent her retired years doing what she loved most, as a hands-on, loving, and supportive grandmother to her four grandchildren, taking many trips to New York and New Jersey to visit her two grandsons, sewing, crocheting, and painting.

She loved all her in-law children and grandchildren as her own and was so proud of the entire family.

A big heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful and devoted staff at Green Oaks Inn and her Compassus Hospice team.
