Funeral service for Howard Edward Waldrop, age 80, of Decatur, will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with John Davis officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Lebanon Cemetery.
Mr. Waldrop, who died Saturday, August 26, 2023, at his residence, was born April 7, 1943, in Alabama to Grady Waldrop and Margaret Ruby Chenault Waldrop. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
He is survived by his brother, James Waldrop; and four sisters, Helen Suggs, Hazel Plott, Dorothy Crumpton, and Betty Latham.
Pallbearers will be Eldridge Latham, Elston Latham, Gary Don Waldrop, and Eli Crumpton.
