Mrs. Edna Brown, age 92, passed away early Thursday in Decaturville. She was born September 13, 1930 in Chester County. She was retired from Johnson Controls and a homemaker. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed being outside. She loved the ocean and the mountains. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. Survivors include her three sons, Donnie Brown (Angie), Ronnie Brown, and Randy Brown (Debbie); her brother, Scottie Hopper; three sisters, Connie Hays, Bonnie Haywood, and Gail Hamm; five grandchildren, Jeremy Brown, Amy Gregg, Emily Stanfill, Caleb Brown, and Morgan Brown; and five great grandchildren, Ryder Gregg, Harper Gregg, Henry Brown, Wyatt Brown, and Colson Brown.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Sardis Baptist Church. Interment will follow in McBride Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 AM – 2 PM at Sardis Baptist Church.
