David Michael Cole was born in Athens, Alabama on April 6, 1985 and went to be with our Lord at an early age of 27 on March 27, 2013. He graduated from Madison Academy in 2003. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2008. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2011.
David attended Market St. Church of Christ in Athens and Mayfair Church of Christ in Huntsville.
David is survived by his father, Paul Michael Cole, and his step-mother Marie Duffee Cole; step-sister Elizabeth Reynolds and husband Bryan of Birmingham; step-brother Stephen L. Cain, Jr. of Auburn, and his maternal grandmother Gwen H. Bullock of Athens. He has many cousins, aunts and uncles who grew up in Athens. He was predeceased by his mother, Deborah Bullock Cole of Athens, maternal grandfather Tulon Bullock of Athens, paternal grandmother Betty Jo Anderson Cole of Athens and paternal grandfather Paul B. Cole of Athens.
David was an avid reader, University of Alabama football fan, San Antonio Spurs basketball fan and loved music of all kinds. Everyone who knew David knew that he had a big heart, an unbelievably funny personality, and was the most loyal friend you could ever have. He will be greatly missed by many family members and friends.
David was a partner is his father’s lobbying firm in Montgomery, Alabama. David thoroughly enjoyed lobbying.
The funeral for David will be Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. The funeral will begin at 2:00 p.m. Serving as pall bearers will be some of David’s closest friends: Darrin Hasley, Derek Hasley, Chris Bingham, Corey Cooper, Brian Cothren, Brian Graves, Patrick Warren, and Stuart Whitaker.
