Betty Myers BaileyBetty Myers Bailey passed away at the age of 88 after a battle with progressive dementia.  She passed peacefully, loved by many. Her precious hands that held her children and grandchildren are today being held by her Lord and Savior. Her mind and body are healed.

Rejoicing at her homecoming is her cherished husband of 53 years, Robert Julian Bailey. Her oldest son, Bobby, and her precious grandson, Jerid.

Betty is also preceded in death by her parents, John Hiram Myers and Eva Lena Taylor Myers; sisters, Marie Dickinson and Tera Mae Bailey; brothers, Lloyd, Lacy, Louie, and Lawton Myers.

Advanced dementia/Alzheimer’s marked Betty’s thoughts of her parents and siblings being alive and yearning for their visits. What a glorious reunion there is in Heaven as those she had sought for are now reunited.

She is survived by her children, Wallace and Renee Bailey, Judy and Paul Goodlink, and Brenda Bailey. Grandchildren, Amanda (Ronnie) Clement, Amy (Brian) Beck, Christie (Brandon) Pate, Ryne (Olivia) Goodlink. Great- grandchildren, Avery, Tyler, and Wesson Clement; Logan, Owen, and Jackson Beck; Riley and Remy Pate, and Evelyn Goodlink. Sisters, Mary Atkinson Spence and Charlene Ferguson. Many loved nieces and nephews.

No matter how old we are, our parents are always our parents and we are always their kid.  We are deeply blessed you were our mother and MawMaw. You will be missed dearly.  To Cordova Nursing Home a heartfelt thank you for the time, care, love, and hard work you bestow on those in your care. Your kindness and dedication go a long way in keeping the residents and their families happy and healthy. Please know that you are appreciated each and every day.

To Alabama Hospice we are sincerely grateful our mom’s final journey was handled with such kind and loving care. You made a difference during this difficult time.
