Delia Bunch Collins, 94, of Phil Campbell, AL, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at UAB Hospital.
Delia was a native of Wayne County, Tennessee, and attended St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. She was a retired textile worker.
Delia was always smiling and cheerful. She could brighten a room with her smile, and before long, whoever was in that room would be her friend. She never met a stranger. She had such a joyful laugh that she could take a gloomy day and fill it with love. Delia loved to cook for her family and was a great cook. She loved her church family and the Word of God, and she was a Prayer Warrior for many years. For Delia, it was God, then family; and everyone was her family!
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, AL. Bro. John Humphries will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 25, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Delia is survived by her daughter, Deborah Kilgoar (Barry); grandchildren, Kimberly Spivey, Charles “Chuck” Greeson (Cheryl), Stephanie McGee (Terry), Ty Hill (Heather), Kyle Arnold (April), and Summer Hart; brother, John Thomas Turnbo; and a host of loving great- grandbabies, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends who will miss that beautiful smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenny and Mary Alma Turnbo; husbands, Carnie Bunch and Carlton Collins; daughters, Dorothy Luna and Carolyn Alexander; grandson, Craig Greeson and four siblings.
Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, assisted the family.
