Funeral service for Dorothy “Dot” Garner, 83, will be Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Union Church of Christ with Bro. Tom Larkin officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. She will lie in state at the church one hour prior to service on Saturday. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, July 28, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Garner died on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Hospice Family Care. She was born December 17, 1939, in Morgan County to Howard Johnson and Ollie Helms Johnson. Mrs. Garner was a member of Union Church of Christ. She was formerly employed by Morgan County School System at Cotaco Junior High School as a Cafeteria Manager.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Seybourne Garner, a daughter, Sebra Binkley and two sisters, Sandra Dunlap and Julia Rolfe.
