Sally Houston Eggleston, 80 of Athens, passed away on Wednesday July 12th, 2023, in her residence. She was born on July 20th, 1942 to Sam Houston and Margaret Plunkett.
She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Lee Bane(Carl); step-daughter Susan Mayhew; grandchildren Margaret, Tristan, and Sam; 6 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers Sam Houston(Patti), and Joseph Houston(Virginia); sister Marlyn Mall; 9 nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog Misty.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Larry Eggleston; and her sister Mary Smith.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Ms. Eggleston enjoyed spending time with her friends at the senior center in Athens and was a proud member of Fairview Baptist Church.
