Eva Louise Davis, 88, of Athens, Alabama, passed away on July 9th, 2023, in her residence. She was born on June 30th, 1935, to Oliver and Jessie (Roberts) Carter.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband Wayne Davis; daughter Dawna Christopher (Dale); sons Michael D. Davis (Sandra) and Blair Davis (Connie); granddaughters Tara Warden (Billy) and Dayla Pate (Jerod); great-granddaughters Alayna Warden and Thea Pate; brothers Bobby Carter and Billy Carter; and sisters Eunice Gordon (Gene) and Betty Bennett (Rodger).
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Oscar Carter, Odie Carter, Eugene Carter; and sister Earline Hacker and Christine Neely.
Graveside services for Mrs. Davis will be Wednesday, July 12th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Sunny Hill Cemetery with Robert Hall officiating. Visitation will be from 9:15-10:15 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Keith Bennett, Billy Warden, Jerod Pate, Byron Gordon, Selmond Davis, and Toby Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Neely, Alex Bennett, Jeff Carter, Rodger Bennett, Gene Gordon.
Mrs. Davis loved working in her flower garden, and also loved furniture, antiques, reading, and shopping. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
