Graveside services for Ms. Wendy Annette Harkins, age 55, of Somerville, AL and formerly of Ashland will be Wednesday, June 12, 2023 at Big Springs Baptist Church Cemetery starting at 1:00 PM with Rev. Albert Pike officiating.
Wendy was born in Alexander City, AL and lived in the area when she was young, graduating from Bibb Graves High School in 1986. She passed away Sunday at UAB Hospital in Birmingham after a short illness.
She is survived by her sons Joshua Harkins and Donovan Harkins and three brothers, Leonard Harkins, Tommy Harkins (Kevin Greene) and Bobby Harkins, with many other extended family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mitchel and Ann Harkins.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations in Wendy’s name to the American Cancer Society.
