Valla Ree Hodges Roberts, a native of Limestone County and longtime resident of Hartselle, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at the age of 86. She was a Christian, a homemaker, and a member of Westview Church of Christ.
Visitation will be at Peck Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 12,
2023, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral service will be in the Peck
Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, 11:00 AM.
Bill Hall and Lance Blackburn will be officiating. The burial will
be at Hartselle City Cemetery.
Valla Ree was born on July 8, 1937, in Limestone County, AL. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jimmy W. Roberts, daughter, Cindy Davidson (Dan) of Hartselle; sons, Jim Roberts of Hartselle; Kirk Roberts (Jamie) of Somerville; Kris Roberts (Devra) of Hartselle; sisters, Clara Brooks of Athens, Wanda Gilbert (Wade) of Athens; grandchildren, Emily Woodard (Brandon), Drew Davidson, Chase Pernatozzi, Judson Roberts, Addie David (Josh) and Ava Roberts; 5 great grandchildren, Kadence Woodard, Landon Woodard, Brooklyn Woodard, McKenna David, and Everette David. A daughter preceded her in death, Jamie Lee Roberts.
