William Douglas Stout, 69, Tuscumbia, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023. Visitation will be Friday, July 7, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Seth Hood officiating. Interment will be in Isbell Chapel Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Doug, also known as Willie D., was a retired heavy equipment operator for the City of Muscle Shoals. He loved fishing and going to races. He was preceded in death by his son, Warren Douglas Stout; mother, Flora Mae Stout; father, Davis Harris Stout; and brother, Amos Jerome Stout.
Doug is survived by his daughter, Christy Stout Moss (Michael); brothers, Charlie and Daniel Stout; grandchildren, Kadacia and Jalen Johnson; and nieces, Nikki Stout, Becky Brooks, and Erica McPhearson.
Pallbearers will be Michael Moss, Jalen Johnson, Charlie Stout, Victor Turner, Wayne Davis, and Jacky Honey.
The family expresses special thanks to the staffs of the Critical Care & Stepdown Units of North Alabama Medical Center, and to Drs. Brian Fletcher & Rene Bredel.
