Franklin D. Houk

Franklin D. Houk passed away on July 3, 2023 at the age of 88.

He was born on January 31, 1935 in Walker County, Alabama.  He came from a Coal Mining family of 10 children.  Frank joined the Air Force in 1955 at the age of 19, serving his Country for 20 years retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant.  He was very proud of his Country.  He enjoyed sports and was a true Alabama Fan who loved watching Alabama Football.  He was a Christian and loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his Wife-Wanda Robinson Houk.

He is survived by his three sons-Brian, Keith and Troy Houk and their families; two step daughters-Deborah Robinson White and Betty Robinson Rogers; three stepsons-Lacy, Danny and Bobby Robinson and their families; one sister-MaryLynn Tarver and one brother-Doyle (Whitey) Houk.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Walker Memory Gardens, located at 692 Hwy 5, Jasper, AL  at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2023.

In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to your favorite charity in honor of Franklin D. Houk.
