Thomas Elbert Kilgo, 74, of Florence, Alabama, passed away June 30th, 2023. Visitation will be Monday, July 3rd at Williams Funeral Home in Florence, Alabama from 9:30 – 10:30 am. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 pm in Shady Grove-Logan, Alabama, where he can join many generations of ancestors. Brother Bryan McIntyre will be officiating the service.
Mr. Kilgo is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas C. and Gladys Louise Kilgo; sister, Martha Johnson; and brother-in-law, Morris Killen.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-four years, Milani Vieira Trannin; children, Bryan Thomas Kilgo (Kaitlyn), Jennifer Kilgo, and Leonardo Trannin Azeredo; sister, Tonita Killen; mother-in-law, Marlene Vieira Trannin; in-laws, Rita de Cassia Trannin and Jorge Luis Trannin. Additional survivors include grandchildren, Peilani Oriahn Philips, River Grayson Kilgo, and Bexley Quinn Kilgo; nephews and niece Debbie Gooch.
Mr. Kilgo graduated from Coffee High School and earned an Engineering degree from The University of Alabama. He worked most of his life at Texas Instrument. He later earned a master’s degree in business. Tom lived many years in Germany and Brazil where he married Milani. He had a passion for Bonsai, family history, and antiques.
His life has been a blessing to so many and we will miss him dearly, but the certainty that we will meet again comforts our hearts.
