James Theo Colwell, 73 of Athens, passed away on Friday, June 23rd, 2023 at Limestone Hospital. He was born on January 15th, 1950 in Athens, Alabama to James Malcom Colwell and Mary Overmyer.
Mr. Colwell is survived by a special friend Cindy Morris; his three daughters Teresa Wise (Dale), Angela Cox (Lloyd), and Brandy Hyche (Jason); his son Brandon Colwell (Casey); his brothers Doug Colwell (Sandi), Elton Colwell (Kathleen), James M. Colwell (Lisa); his sisters Mary Steele, Carol Terry (Mickey), Porshia Ayers (Pete); his 10 grandchildren and his 18 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Colwell is preceded in death by his parents.
Burial services for Mr. Colwell will be Sunday, June 25th, at 3:00pm at Hatchett Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody Todd, Rodney Todd, Matthew Todd, Bodie Todd, Jacob Johnson, and Derek Standridge. Honorary pallbearer will be Stacy Carter. Officiating will be Doug Colwell.
Mr. Colwell loved yard selling, trading and Swap & Shop.
