Our beloved angel Edna Delores Patton Starks departed this earthly place and went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday June 7, 2023. Edna was born on June 4, 1962. She was the 6th born to Eula and Carter Patton who both preceded her in death.
Edna gave her life to Christ and was baptized in 2013 at New Hope Outreach Ministries with Pastor John. Edna attended Councill Training in Huntsville, AL in her early years and later worked as a housekeeper in many different establishments, as well as many homes in the community. Edna enjoyed cleaning, cutting grass and just helping anyone in need. Most importantly Edna enjoyed spending time with family and just being out and about. If you knew Edna personally then you know she was always for a good time and just wanted everyone happy.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her devoted three sons: Joshua Starks, Jerimay Patton and Maurice Jones; three brothers: Jimmy Patton, John Patton, and Calvin Patton; one sister: Peggy (James) Tanner; one deceased brother Carter Patton Jr; one deceased sister Carolyn Patton and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the Royal Chapel of Memories (4315 Oakwood Avenue NW Huntsville, AL 35810) with Pastor Herbert Cartwright officiating.
Public viewing will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, June16, 2023 and 8:30 until funeral time Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the Royal Funeral Home.
