Joe Edward Fuller was born on June 13, 1954 to the late Thelma Arnette Fuller and Fred G.Luster.
He heard the Lord call his name, when he said, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.,
on June 17, 2023 at 1:20 A.M., at the age of 69.
He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Revered Briggs. He was educated in the Madison County school system and attended Jackson-Central Merry High.
He served in the Army National Guard. He was a gifted drawer, painter and artist and the stories he could tell you would have you laughing until your sides ached.
He was married to the late Eula “Chick” Fuller. He worked for the Jackson-Madison County School System for twenty-five plus years in maintenance until his health failed
He was preceded in death by his wife, mother, one sister: Freddie Mae Harden; paternal brothers,
maternal grandmother: Mary Joe Deberrye; two aunts: Gracie Dean and Ora Davis; four great aunts: Jennie Pettigrew, Katie Fuller, Annie Weddle, Sallie Fuller; five great uncles: Leroy Fuller, Boe Messiah Fuller, Tipp Fuller, Obe Fuller, and Isaac Fuller, one special brother: Donald Marshall “Duck” Woods, and a
host of cousins.
He leaves to cherish his memory one brother: John T. (Yolanda) Gause Jr. of Jackson, TN. two sisters: Barbara Ann Lavender of Birmingham, AL and Johnnie Mae (Michael) Douglas of Jackson, TN; He was a second Father to all of his nieces and nephews who loved him dearly; three nieces: Tina Marie Pirtle of Nashville, TN; Felicia Delois (Daniel) Delaney of Cartersville, GA; his “Mae Joe,”Janesika Jon-Tia Gause of Jackson, TN; four nephews: his “Lil Michael” Michael Lu’Dale Douglas, his “Turtle,” Garrick Te’Rell Douglas, and Stephun Mosha Harden all of Jackson, TN. and his “Grandpa,” John Thomas Gause, III of Tacoma, Washington; nine great nephews: his Elmer Fudd,” Cedarius Ross of Jackson, TN and his “Blacker than me,” Shun Pirtle of Nashville, TN; Ashton T. and Jalan Sharpe of Jackson, TN; his “Squirrel,” Michael Lu’Dale Douglas, III and Jah’Michael Te’Rell Douglas of Jackson, TN; Tylar Spears of Jackson, TN and Gunner Mashall Gause Jackson, TN; two great nieces: Eryn Michelle and Vinnity Ladeah Douglas both of Jackson, TN; his paternal family: father: Fred G. (Ethel) Luster of lackson TN; four sisters: Lula Mae (Kenneth) Langston, Eddie Luster, Denise (Gregory) Fentress and Allison R. Luster; one brother-in-law: Rev. Julius Harden of Medon, Tennessee; three special nurses who took amazing care and loved him: Amber Johnston, Nicole Agee, and Ashley and Vickie, CNA’s Laurelwood. A host of great great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
