Patricia Meharg Isom, 80 of Arab passed away Friday, June 16, 2023, at her residence. Pat was born November 6, 1942 in Lincoln, Alabama, the daughter of Tom B. Meharg and Mildred Phillips Meharg. She was a graduate of Arab High School, Class of 1961. She married her sweetheart Clyde Douglas “Doug” Isom on June 18, 1961 and was married 59 years at the time of his passing December 18, 2020. She worked several years at SCI and later as a Student Aide for the Arab City School System until her retirement. She was a member of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church and the Arab Mothers Club.
She is survived by her children: Steve (Frankie) Isom of Cummings, Georgia, Benny (Amy) Isom of Arab, Donna (Keith) Pritchett of Arab and Andy Isom of Arab ; grandchildren: Alexandria Isom (Nick) White, Stewart Isom, Natalie (Neiman) Wagner, Gunter Isom, Aaron (Emily) Pritchett, Layton (KC) Pritchett, Grace Ann Pritchett (Fiancée Bailey Phillips), Shelby Isom and Graydon Isom; Great Grandchildren: Elizabeth White, Aurora Pritchett and JW Pritchett; sister-in-law: Cathie Meharg of Arab; brother-in-law: Mike (Rochelle) Isom of Arab; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Doug Isom, son: Tracey Blain Isom, parents: Tom and Mildred Meharg, brother: Michael Meharg.
Funeral Service was 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2023, at Gober Funeral Chapel. The burial was in Arab Memorial Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Visitation was from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers: Stewart Isom, Gunter Isom, Aaron Pritchett, Layton Pritchett, Graydon Isom, Nick White, Neiman Wagner and Bailey Phillips.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers to make donations to the Gilliam Springs Baptist Church Library or the Marshall Cancer Center.
