F.6.22.23 Jane Cooper.jpg  Jane Scott Cooper, 79, of Florence, AL passed away June 19th, 2023. She was born on May 15th, 1944 in Mt. Sterling, KY.

She was a faithful member of the Petersville Church of Christ and former member of Cloverdale Church of Christ. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked as an elementary reading teacher for several years and retired from Mars Hill Bookstore after many years of service. She enjoyed reading, shopping for antiques, watching her children and grandchildren play ball, and spending time with her husband.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joe B. Cooper, Florence; daughter, Terri Cooper Riley (Keith) of Searcy, AR; son, Mike Cooper (Dolly); grandsons, Rusty Cooper (Kelsey), and Dalton Cooper; great-granddaughter, Reagan Cooper; twin sister, Jean Grigsby (Larry) all of Florence, AL; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grayford and Maxine Scott; and sister, Vicki Voyles.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 12-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Eric Bogus officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Cooper, Dalton Cooper, Josh Cooper, Zack Cooper, Keith Riley, and David Grigsby.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Young and Cecil Myrick.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff a North Alabama Medical Center and the staff of SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice for their compassionate care.

The family will accept floral tributes or in lieu of flowers, a donation to Mars Hill Bible School would be appreciated.
