Funeral services for Mr. Terry “Porky” Carter, age 71, will be held at 2 pm on Monday, June 19, 2023, at the Shelton Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 pm until 8 pm on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at the Shelton Hunt Funeral Home and on Monday from 12 pm until service time.
Mr. Carter passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at his home in Humboldt, TN.
Mr. Carter was a retired Press Punch Operator for ITW, a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church, and coached little league baseball and basketball.
Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Ruby Carter; three brothers, Aron Carter, Nathan Carter, and Billy Carter; and a sister, Catherine Hurley.
Mr. Carter is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Carter, three sons, Johnny Carl Carter, David Matthew Carter (Sindy), and Jeremy Lynn Carter (Valerie); a daughter, Megan Elizabeth Carter; a sister, Demetria Sanders; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
