Larry Wayne Franklin was born January 10, 1949 in Clarkesville, GA the son of the late Robert and Katie Nations Franklin.
He was united in marriage to Linda Gibson on January 11, 2000.
Larry worked for many years at Save-A-Lot Warehouse in Humboldt, TN as a fork lift operator. He enjoyed being outside and going fishing. He served in the United States Army from 1968-70.
Larry Wayne Franklin departed this life on June 12, 2023 in Finger, Tennessee at the age of 74 Years, 5 Months, 2 Days. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Gibson) Franklin of Finger, TN; three sons, Larry Wayne Franklin Jr. and wife Crystal, Michael Gibson and wife Angie, Josh Gibson; three daughters, Katie Main and husband Oscar, Teresa Thomas and husband Martin, Jennifer Stride;
three sisters, Patricia Swafford and husband Buck, Greta Weaver, Annette Watts; two brothers, Robert Franklin and wife Brenda, Harold Franklin and wife Velmer;
19 grandchildren, Haley, Tyler, Lily, Brooklyn, Punk, Bubba, Lacy, Lana, Lauren, Dylan, Jaylee, Ollie, Little Gerald, Shane Cody, Darian, Little Teresa, Denise, Samantha, and James Lee; four great grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Franklin was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Ariana Gibson, Julian Gibson, Baby Stavely; a son, Gerald Underwood; a brother, Billy Franklin.
