Margie Barnett Hatchett, age 93, went to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in Columbia, TN, on May 23, 2023. Her family was by her side.
Margie was born on February 12, 1930, in Lexington, AL, to Audie Lee and Minnie Fields Barnett. She married Emmett Edsel Hatchett in 1950, and they were married for 61 years at the time of his passing on February 3, 2012. She is survived by their four children: Dennis (Libby) Hatchett of Duluth, GA; Randy (Sherry) Hatchett of Madison, TN; Ron (Stephanie) Hatchett of Nashville, TN; Jan (Brian) King of Columbia, TN. She was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Stephen Hatchett, and a brother, Delton Barnett.
Margie was a member of the Henderson church of Christ for many years and attended Ladies Bible Class. She also served on the Advisory Board at Freed-Hardeman University.
