Michael Ray Smith, age 64 of Pelham, passed away on May 16, 2023, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems in Winchester. Michael was born on September 21, 1958, in Decherd, Tennessee, to the late Jimmy Ray and Jacqueline Patricia (Sanders) Smith. He was a veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed painting and writing. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Smith. Michael is survived by his sister, Cynthia (Gary) Mowl and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 11:00am – 2:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service following at 2:00pm. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery.
