Dorothy N. Winstead, age 77, of Phil Campbell, passed away on Saturday, May 06, 2023, at Russellville Hospital ER.
Dorothy was a proud member of Oakwood Baptist Church in Phil Campbell where she made several friends over the years. She loved her two granddaughters, Shelby and Chloe, and played an active role in their lives. She enjoyed the company of her dogs, Skipper and Suzy. Dorothy was an active member of the community. She loved going to yard sales and never met a stranger. Dorothy had a beautiful spirit and was a friend to all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William “Chub” Winstead; parents, Leonard & Irie (Kinard) McLemore; siblings, Cavylene Hawkins, Travis McLemore, Jamie McLemore, Nadine Motes, and baby brother, Owen McLemore.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, William Greg Winstead, Deborah E. Brownell (Lee); granddaughters, Shelby Brownell, Chloe Brownell (Gabe Rodriguez); brother, Johnny McLemore; sister, Corrine Swinney; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 09, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. The burial will be at Spruce Pine Cemetery.
