Elizabeth Ruth Darby, 72, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. She was born on July 23, 1950 in Marks, MS to the Late Marlin and Virginia Lee Stewart Howe. She met and married Charles Darby in Charleston, MS . They raised their family together until he died in 2004.
Elizabeth loved her family. She was a homemaker in every scene of the word. She loved to cook and clean, and taking care of her children. She loved to sing and dance at family functions. Her greatest joy in life was spoiling he grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to be serving their friends.
Elizabeth is survived by her three daughters. Geraldine Hall , Ruth Darby and Patsy Darby; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Ray Darby, Sr. and her son Charles Ray Darby, Jr.
