June Durham, 73 of Mentone passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at the home of her niece in Guntersville. June was born June 19, 1949 in Madison County the daughter of Grover L. Durham and Mattie Lou Barnett Durham. She was a cosmetologist until retirement and a member of the Plainview Church of Christ in Hazel Green.
She is survived by her sister: Wilma Durham; brother: Jack Durham (Diane); host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents: Grover and Mattie Lou Durham, siblings: Judy M. Davis, Elizabeth Stewart and William Thomas Durham.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Gober Funeral Chapel. The visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Gober Funeral Chapel. The family has chosen to honor her wishes by cremation following the service.
The family request in lieu of flowers to please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or North Alabama Hospice, Huntsville.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of Hospice of North Alabama for the compassionate care given to June during her illness. They would also like to thank the staff of Diversicare of Arab for the care given during her rehab stay.
