Derrick Maxwell Waggoner, age 57 of Gruetli-Laager, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Hammond, Indiana on November 17, 1965, to the late Charles and Polly (Maxwell) Waggoner. Before his retirement, he had been employed by UPS. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing his guitar, working in the garden, and spending time with his dogs and cats. Derrick is survived by his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Michelle Waggoner; brother, Rick Waggoner; sister, Joy Scott; and mother-in-law, Darlene Preikschat. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
