A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for James “Ronnie” Stooksberry, 73, will be Friday, April 28, 2023 at 1:00 PM in Falkville City Cemetery with Bro. Greg Burcham officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No visitation is scheduled.
Mr. Stooksberry died on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Lauderdale County, to Tommie V. Rich.
Born in Florence, Alabama, he excelled in sports at Central High School. He worked for Tennessee Valley Authority at Sequoyah Nuclear Plant as a Mechanical Maintenance Instructor for 25 years and was retired for almost 23 years where he enjoyed seeing all the states, Canada and Mexico. He visited all 170 National Parks by RV and traveled to over 30 countries.
He was a devout Christian and a multi-talented person who excelled in everything he did. He enjoyed crafting things out of wood, bird-watching and growing flowers.
Preceding him in death were his mother: Tommie Rich and a sibling: Ricky (Donna) Stooksberry.
