Nadine McLemore Motes, age 74, of Phil Campbell, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Helen Keller Hospital.
Nadine was the rock of the family, a devoted Godly Christian woman. She was at her happiest when she was taking care of others, always putting others before herself. She worked as an aide at the nursing home, a foster parent, and was known as Momaw to everyone. She was always changing and remodeling her house, and enjoyed doing that to several houses that she could sell. Her family will cherish the many memories of their mother, momaw, and friend.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Timmy Hall (Chris), Stevie Motes (Yolanda), Selina Motes, Brandon Motes, Katrina Motes, Hannah Williams; grandchildren, Angel Hall, Tekera Hall, Stevie Motes (Christian), Stuart Motes (Jessica), Blake Motes, Madeline Motes, Brett Williams, Amber Malone (Jeremiah); great-grandchildren, Raiden Ergle, Everleigh Hughes, Elizabeth Cameron, Arturo Sosa, Eastyn Motes, Madelynn Motes, Brison Motes, Aiden Malone, Miah Malone; brother, Johnny McLemore; sisters, Dorothy Winstead, Corrine Swinney; and a host of nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Steve Leon Motes, Sr., three babies, Michael, Melissa, Brett; great-grandchild, Zaxton Motes; parents, Leonard & Irie (Kinard) McLemore; siblings, Cavylene Hawkins, Travis McLemore, Jamie McLemore, and baby brother, Owen McLemore.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Woodrow Taylor officiating the service. The burial will be at Blue Springs Cemetery.
