Funeral service for Charles Larry Thrasher, 73, will be Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Cornerstone Church in Moulton, with Pastor Tony Collins and Bro. Ken Blackwood officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Cornerstone Church.
Mr. Thrasher died on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born May 19, 1949, in Etowah County, to Eugene Thrasher and Adeline Avery Thrasher.
He attended Cornerstone Church, was an Evangelist and pastored several churches in the North Alabama Area over the years. He also was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served as a Sergeant and received numerous recognitions and awards. He was an ASE certified mechanic, enjoyed farming and gardening and loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a daughter: Vanessa Jeanne Smith and a grandson: Bradley Simpson.
