Johnnie Hewett Capley, 63, Florence, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Visitation will be today, April 15, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Sunday, April 16, at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Ben Gooch officiating. Johnnie’s Last Ride will be in a motorcycle funeral coach to Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens, Florence, kickstands up at 2:00 p.m.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Varnell Killen; father, George Robert Capley, Sr.; brother, George Robert “Bob” Capley, Jr.; and sister, Mary Jane Thrasher.
Johnnie is survived by his children, Mollie Beth Capley and Matthew Capley; grandchildren, Chase Thompson, Amerie and Nicholas Parsons, Mason and Maycie Capley, Kelsey Berry, and Chloe Parsons; niece, LaDonna Jones; nephews, Shane Lockley, Jeremy Thrasher, and Robert Capley; and numerous cousins.
Pallbearers will be Mark Cribbs, Shane Lockley, Jeremy Thrasher, Coty Capley, Chase Capley, and Padro Varnell. Donnie Capley, Robert Capley, Chase Thompson, and Nick Parsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
