Marina was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Lawrence Elkins, Jr.; and her parents, Willie and Patricia Thigpen.
She is survived by her children, Tyler Elkins (Elizabeth), Stephanie Jackson (James, III), Eve Elkins, and Trevor Elkins; brother, William Thigpen; and grandchildren, Hannah Rene Brown, Jaydon Lamar Elkins, and Taylor Ann Elkins.
