Elaine Strickland, 72, of Corinth, MS passed away at Magnolia Regional Health Center on Friday, March 24, 2023. Born in Corinth, MS on January 1, 1951 to the late J.T. and Essie Choate Maness, Elaine graduated from Alcorn Central High School in 1969. She retired after 35 years with ITT, was a member of Strickland Church of Christ and will forever be missed by her family and friends. A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held at Henry Cemetery at 2 pm, Friday, March 31, 2023, officiated by Brad Dillingham. Interment will follow in Henry Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home – East is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Elaine’s memory include her stepdaughter, Leslie Strickland King (Mac); her stepson, David Strickland; her sister, Carolyn Maricle (James); her brother, Jerry Maness (Doris); her step grandchildren, Tyler Shope, Fenley Strickland, and Ben Strickland; her sister-in-law, Sylvia Maness; her nieces & nephews, Lindsey Maricle, Ali Maricle, Ava Maricle, Maggie Crum, Fabian Maricle (Jennifer),Tommy Maness, Jeremy Maness, Ellen Shelton, and Pam Maness; her great niece, Rylee Kate Maricle; other relatives and a host of friends. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Strickland; her parents, J.T. and Essie Choate Maness; and her brothers, Barry Maness and Thomas Ray Maness.
